• SMUSD Provides Updates on Measure M Progress (outlooknewspapers.com) — San Marino families can expect major Measure M-funded upgrades across all four SMUSD campuses, from new TK and elementary classrooms to modernized STEM, medical arts, and athletic facilities at Huntington and San Marino High. Construction will roll out in phases over several years, with early visible changes including new playgrounds, safety and traffic improvements, and key roof and turf replacements that support daily school life.
   

• San Marino Police to Hold DUI Checkpoint Dec. 27 (outlooknewspapers.com) — San Marino drivers should be aware that local police will run a DUI checkpoint Dec. 27 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. somewhere within city limits. Officers will screen for alcohol, drugs and impairing medications, stressing community safety over arrests and warning that first-time DUI convictions carry steep fines and license suspension.
