San Marino Rallies for Rand
Tweets from the area surrounding San Marino in support of the senator's filibuster outnumber those against.

As Sen. Rand Paul's filibuster of John Brennan's CIA director nomination went on and on Wednesday, people from the area around San Marino appeared mostly to support what was happening in the Senate.
Paul (R-Ky) began speaking on Wednesday at 11:47 a.m. Eastern time and yielded his time at just under 13 hours. He was using filibuster tactics to get explicit assurance from the Obama administration that the federal government cannot kill a U.S. citizen on American soil if that individual does not pose an imminent threat.
“No one politician should be allowed to judge the guilt, to charge an individual, to judge the guilt of an individual and to execute an individual. It goes against everything that we fundamentally believe in our country,” Paul said on the Senate floor.

Cenk Uygur @cenkuygur: 7th hour of Rand Paul #filibuster. Where are Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren? Do they care about constitution or were they just kidding?
Some weren't quite so supportive, though:
Sandra B @sansanb: If you have 12 hrs for a #filibuster then you can sit down with the President for at least an hour to handle issues important to Americans.
Jason Levin @JasonLevin: Strom set his #filibuster record pre 24 hour news. TV, blogs, twitter et. al have turned this into a media event. Explains GOP pile-on.
ben schwartz @benschwartzy: Rand Paul's #filibuster will be known as the Even A Broken Clock is Right Two Times A Day Debate.
Nina L. Diamond @ninatypewriter: Rand Paul should just keep talking through Saturday night. SNL can use his #filibuster as the cold open.
And some just had fun with it:
Marcus Smith @MarcusSmithKTLA: Well at least they aren't paid by the hour - the OT would probably force us to sell the naming rights to the Capitol building. #filibuster
Kennedy @KennedyNation: Who wants to stay up and have a #filibuster party? They're has to be a drinking game involved. Any suggestions?
ben schwartz @benschwartzy: Rubio's making his political points quoting "The Godfather," Jay-Z, "Patton," Wiz Khalifa – who died and made him Maureen Dowd? #filibuster
Douglas Caballero @dCABALLERO: ONLY a 13 hour #filibuster?? Puh-lease Rand! I’ve stood in line longer for a Harry Potter movie.
