$100K Proposed For San Mateo World War I Memorial, New Playground

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday on whether to approve a $100,000 grant towards improvements to Central Park.

SAN MATEO, CA — The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday on whether to approve a $100,000 grant to the city of San Mateo towards a World War I memorial and a new playground.

The money would come from Measure K funds. The agenda item during Tuesday’s meeting was proposed by District 2 Supervisor Carole Groom.
