Abbott Middle School Principal, Superintendent Featured on NBC Sunday
Principal Cathy Ennon and Superintendent Dr. Cyndy Simms appear in Sunday's episode of the education-themed TV show "Class Action."
The San Mateo-Foster City School District will get a little bit of Bay Area-wide attention Sunday morning when Superintendent Cyndy Simms and Principal Cathy Ennon appear on an episode of NBC's show "Class Action," which features hot topics in education.
Simms and Ennon taped the episode Wednesday, in which they were interviewed on a handful of topics by popular NBC anchor Jessica Aguirre, such as the concept of year-round schools.
"They did an amazing job highlighting the benefits of year-round calendar schools," Amber Farinha, spokesperson for the school district, commented.

Farinha said, other guests featured in Sunday's episode were Louis Freedberg, executive director of EdSource, and Superintendent Vincent Matthews from the San Jose Unified School District, talking about the new report, "Schools Under Stress;" and psychologist Philip Zimbardo talking about his e-book, "The Demise of Guys: Why Boys Are Struggling and What We Can Do About It."
The episode of "Class Action" airs Sunday, July 1 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on NBC.
