The Board of Supervisors, along with nearly 100 residents who shared their views at a special meeting on Oct. 28, shaped the job description and recruitment process for the next sheriff, officials said.

The County announced a two-week public process to select the new Sheriff, including interviews and a public candidate forum where questions can now be submitted. Applicants must provide a short video, photo, and written summary of their interest and leadership philosophy for public review.
