Beached Whale in Pacifica Marred with Graffiti
KRON reports the corpse of a beached whale discovered Tuesday has been defaced.

On April 14, the corpse of a 48-foot male sperm whale was discovered washed ashore at Mori Point at the south end of Sharp Park State Beach in Pacifica. The following day scientists performed a necropsy to determine cause of death but a finding was not reached. KRON reports the whale has since been defaced, “the enormous dead mammal has been lying on the beach ever since. The graffiti on the dead whale reads, “EAST BAY RATS MOTORCYCLE CLUB”
Beached sperm whales are fairly rare. Only 17 stranded sperm whales have been found in the 40-year history of the Marine Mammal Center, Sherr said in the KRON article.
