Boulder Creek Brush Fire Contained

A small brush fire broke out overnight near Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County, but crews were able to quickly contain the blaze.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Crews from several departments worked to contain a brush fire Saturday afternoon near Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County, according to a social media post from officials at CalFire's San Mateo-Santa Cruz unit.

CalFire first posted at 1:59 p.m. about an estimated .25-acre fire that was 50-percent contained on Two Bar Road near Boulder Creek in an unincorporated part of the county.

Crews responded from CalFire, Santa Cruz County Fire and Boulder Creek Fire departments.

CalFire tweeted early Sunday that crews soon contained the fire to what turned out to be .13 of an acre. No injuries were reported from the fire, which is under investigation.
