Burlingame Kidnapping Suspect Arrested
The adult female victim suffered no visible injuries, according to police.
MENLO PARK, CA — A Peninsula man was arrested Saturday in connection with the kidnapping of a woman who was known to him, Menlo Park police said.
Freidun Younossi, 59 of Burlingame, was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, committing a crime while on bail or release and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, co-habitant, or someone in a dating relationship (all felonies) among other charges, police said.
Younossi was later booked into San Mateo County Jail, police said.

The victim suffered no visible injuries, according to police.
Officers at around 2 p.m. Saturday responded to the 2000 block of Tioga Drive 0n the report of a domestic disturbance, police said.

Officers determined Younossi forced the woman into a vehicle and fled the scene with the victim.
Officers and detectives were able to contact the victim through her cell phone but she appeared to be unable to speak freely and would not give any information on the suspect or her current location, police said.
Officers and detectives with the assistance of numerous agencies eventually located suspect’s vehicle unoccupied in Daly City.
After several hours of investigation, officers and detectives were able to take the suspect into custody without incident and rescue the victim.
The victim was later interviewed police detectives.
Police departments in Burlingame, Daly City, Colma, San Francisco, San José and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office assisted local authorities.
