A traffic advisory was issued ahead of Saturday's World Dog Surfing Championships scheduled for Saturday at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The coastal Peninsula is bracing for traffic delays ahead of a planned event this weekend.

The Pacifica Police Department have issued a traffic advisory in advance of the World Dog Surfing Championships.

The event is scheduled to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Linda Mar Beach.

"Please plan your travels accordingly and please bring your patience. We want everyone to reach their destination safely," Pacifica police wrote on the agency's Facebook page.
