Elderly Couple Targeted In Peninsula Armed Robbery: Cops
Masked robbers knocked the couple to the ground during the attack. The case is part of a growing Bay Area trend, according to police.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — An elderly couple was targeted in a Peninsula armed robbery Friday in which a luxury watch was stolen, San Bruno police said.
One of the victims was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The suspects, described as two men wearing ski masks, are at large.

Officers at around 11:45 a.m. responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 1100 block of El Camino Real, police said.
Officers determined the elderly pair was approached by two masked gunmen who struck the two victims and forcibly removed a high-value luxury watch from the male victim’s wrist, before fleeing the scene in a dark colored sedan, police said.

The suspects were described as males dressed in dark clothing.
“At this point in the investigation, it appears as though the victims were deliberately targeted and followed to the location where this robbery occurred,” police said in a statement.
“There have been a number of similar robbery incidents throughout the Bay Area in recent weeks, and San Bruno Detectives are working with partner agencies in an effort to identify the suspects. Additional information will be disseminated as it is available.”
