Fatal Peninsula DUI Crash Suspect Arrested

The fatal crash on South Linden Avenue occurred late Saturday night, authorities said.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A suspect was arrested late Saturday in connection with a single-vehicle Peninsula DUI crash that killed a passenger, South San Francisco police said.

The 18-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of vehicle manslaughter with negligence and DUI causing death, police said.

The victim was also 18, police said.

Officers at around 11:40 p.m. Saturday responded to South Linden Avenue on the report of a major injury traffic collision involving a single vehicle, police said.

Alcohol and drugs were determined to be a factor, police said.

Police did not reveal additional identifying information about the suspect or the victim.

The crash investigation is ongoing, police said.
