We are the only organization that delivers essential services and personalized support to connect the people living in poverty among us to the full range of resources and services they need. More than just ensuring our clients are fed, clothed, healthy, and housed, we help them create their own stability and remain an active, successful part of the community. Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. SAN MATEO, CA — Crews from PG&amp;E and the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department were at the scene of a gas leak Thursday morning in the Hillsdale area. According to an alert shared by the police department at 10:45 a.m., the response required Pacific Boulevard to close between Hillsdale Boulveard and 38th Avenue until the incident was resolved. Officials asked people to stay out of the area until crews cleared the area.
