Have You Seen This San Mateo County Jewelry Thief?

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA -- Authorities this week asked the public for help in finding a man who stole jewelry in San Carlos.

The suspect reportedly walked into Accent on Jewelry at 643 Laurel Street around 1 p.m. on Oct. 20. He asked an employee to look at a gold chain then ran out the store with the item, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department said.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5’-8” tall with a slim build. He was seen in the store with a black t-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a blue baseball cap.

The incident, which was reported on Friday, is currently under investigation.
