Highway 1 Reopens After Boulder Cleared Near Devil’s Slide
The rock fell about 1 p.m. Monday on the southbound shoulder of Highway 1, just north of the tunnels near Devil's Slide.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Highway 1 at Devil’s Slide reopened late Monday afternoon after a boulder rolled onto the road, prompting a brief closure, Caltrans said.
The rock fell about 1 p.m. Monday on the southbound shoulder of Highway 1, just north of the tunnels near Devil's Slide.

The boulder fell amid a rockslide triggered by a relentless series of storms that started Dec. 26.
