Man Dies In Violent SMC Crash On Highway: Police
The car crashed and flew from the highway onto city streets, police said.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A 33-year-old man died Sunday in San Mateo after he crashed his car on a Highway 101 off-ramp, police said.
At around 4:15 a.m., the man crashed his BMW sedan into a concrete barrier while heading northbound near Peninsula Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol.
Police said the crash was violent and caused the car to fly from the highway off-ramp, landing down onto city streets.

CHP said they are investigating the cause of the crash and have not released the identity of the driver at this time.
