Married Drug Dealing Suspects Arrested In San Mateo

Police allege a San Francisco couple was carrying a large amount of cocaine and cash when they were pulled over in San Mateo.

SAN MATEO, CA — A married couple faces drug charges after they were caught with cocaine, methamphetamine, and thousands of dollars in cash after a San Mateo traffic stop.

Police said an officer pulled over the vehicle for an equipment violation while on patrol near South Norfolk Street and 3rd Avenue on Nov. 17. According to investigators, the driver consented to a search of the car, where officers found nearly 19 grams of cocaine, one gram of meth, plastic baggies, a digital scale and more than $8,700.

Police seized the narcotics and money as evidence, and both suspects were booked in jail on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale.
