Motorist Killed In Peninsula Caltrain Crash: Report

BURLINGAME, CA — A motorist was fatally struck by a Caltrain train Thursday afternoon in Burlingame, NBC Bay Area reports.

The crash occurred at around 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of California Drive and Broadway, according to the report.

No passengers were injured, the report said.

A man who lives in the area told the television station that the lights at the intersection haven’t consistently functioned properly.

“These lights are very dangerous,” Jose Torres said.

“Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t work. Like three or four months ago, they were fixing the lights and then a week later, it was same problem.”
