Romeroleyte is accused of threatening to kill three family members (her sister, mother and a nephew) in an apparent paranoid delusional mental state in which she warned that “they” were coming to get them, the DA’s Office said.

She was helping her parents move into her sister’s apartment at the time of the incident, the DA’s Office said.

Officers responded after they were contacted by the suspect’s sister, who told the suspect she needed to leave the room to get medications for her mother.

The standoff ended peacefully, about two hours after authorities arrived on the scene, the DA’s Office said.
