Peninsula Catalytic Converter Suspects Lead Cops On Pursuit
The pursuit was eventually terminated and the suspects remain at large, police said.
PACIFICA, CA — At least one catalytic theft suspect led authorities on a pursuit early Saturday morning that was eventually terminated, Pacifica police said.
Officers at around 1:05 a.m. Saturday responded to the 500 block of Arguello Boulevard on the report of a possible catalytic converter theft, police said.
A witness who reported the apparent burglary told authorities they saw the burglars put a car on jacks before removing the catalytic converter, police said.

The burglars were seen fleeing in dark-colored sedan, police said.
A few minutes later officers stationed on Highway 1 saw a Dodge Charger Hellcat that matched the description of the suspect vehicle speeding northbound on Fassler Avenue, police said.

A pursuit ensued after the driver refused to stop for the officers, but the pursuit was terminated on northbound Highway 280 at the 19th Avenue split in Daly City, police said.
