Peninsula Crash Kills​ Pedestrian

Tuesday morning's crash triggered the partial closure of Highway 35.

PACIFICA, CA — A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning in a Peninsula traffic collision, police said.

The crash shuttered Highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard) between Hickey Boulevard and King Drive for several hours, according to the Pacifica Police Department.

Officers responding to a 3:30 a.m. report of a collision involving a pedestrian located the victim in the roadway unconscious and not breathing.

First responders from the Daly City Police Department, North County Fire Authority and AMR performed lifesaving measures but the victim was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Pacifica Police personnel responded to the scene to conduct this investigation.

The driver showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with investigators, police said.
