Peninsula Hate Incidents Probed: Cops
Officers at a Peninsula school found a swastika inscribed in a doll's forehead in a ransacked classroom, police said.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help investigating hate incidents at two Peninsula schools, the Pacifica Police Department said in a statement.
Officers responding to the report of a burglary at Sunset Ridge School on Thursday found a child’s doll with a Swastika inscribed on its forehead in a ransacked classroom, police said.
Staff reported several electronic and computer items stolen.

Officers the previous day responded to a report that a Pride flag was taken from the flag pole in front of Oceana High School’s gymnasium.
“These types of hateful incidents will not be tolerated in our community, and we are seeking the public’s help in identifying the responsible persons,” Pacifica Police Captain Bill Glasgo said in a statement.
