Peninsula License Plate Theft Suspect Arrested
The suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded Glock 19 semi-automatic 9mm and cocaine, police said.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A Peninsula license plate theft suspect was arrested early Tuesday morning, Colma police said.
The 27-year-old San Francisco man was arrested on suspicion of multiple weapons violations, narcotics possession, being in possession of stolen property, identity theft violations, and on two outstanding felony warrants, police said.
The investigation into additional associated crimes is ongoing, police said.

Officers at around 4 a.m. Tuesday conducted a record check on a vehicle with suspicious license plates parked in 100 block of Hickey Boulevard that determined the license plates were stolen out of Redwood City, police said.

The vehicle was towed after officers determined its registration had been suspended, according to police.
Officers during an inventory search of the vehicle found a loaded, high-capacity magazine, empty magazines, and additional ammunition; as well as numerous California license plates, personal identification belonging to others, and a large quantity of marijuana, police said.
The personal identification was determined to have been stolen during a residential burglary in Hillsborough and some of the license plates were also reported stolen.
Officers conducted surveillance on the location of the vehicle’s occupant, and detained him upon exiting the building, police said.
A search of his person revealed he was in possession of a loaded Glock 19 semi-automatic 9mm and cocaine, police said.
