Peninsula Public Works Truck Theft Suspect Arrested

Officers at around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday responded to the 2200 block of Beach Boulevard on a report of the theft, police said.

PACIFICA, CA — A suspect in the theft of a Pacifica public works truck was arrested Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Jeremiah Lockaton-Aguilar, 27 of Atascadero (San Luis Obispo County) was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and booked at San Mateo County Jail, Pacifica police said.

Lockaton-Aguilar was already on probation for prior thefts, police said.

Officers at around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday responded to the 2200 block of Beach Boulevard on a report of the theft and shared the information with the San Mateo County Sherriff’s Office’s Coastal Patrol Bureau.

Around 30 minutes later, deputies located the unoccupied stolen truck and detained a person matching the suspect description, police said.
