Peninsula Robbery Victim Hospitalized After 'Vinegar Bottle' Attack
The robbery occurred late Monday night in unincorporated Redwood City, authorities said.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A Peninsula robbery victim was hospitalized after suffering injuries during a robbery late Monday, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim suffered facial lacerations and irritation to his eyes, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The robber threw a vinegar bottle through the car’s driver-side window, shattering it while the victim was in his car, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation after fire crews and paramedics treated him on the scene.
The robbery occurred at around 10:50 p.m. in the 800 block of Barron Avenue, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The at-large suspect is wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and vandalism, the Sheriff’s Office said.
