Bay Area Police Crackdown On Flavored Tobacco Enforcement
Police confiscated nearly 1,000 flavored tobacco and other products for sale that violate state and county laws.
SAN MATEO, CA — Police said their random tobacco enforcement took them to a popular San Mateo street Monday where they confiscated an assortment of flavored tobacco products and more.
On Monday, the San Mateo Police Department went to B Street where they seized 632 flavored wraps, 200 menthol cigarette tubes, 66 single cartridge vapes, 12 bags of mushroom gummies and 10 flavored hemp enhancers.

Police said each violation can receive up to a $50 fine. The retailer they confiscated the items from can now face ups $46,000 for selling illegal tobacco products.

"If you’re in the vaping business, clear out your flavored stash before we visit your shop next," police said.
