Police Log, June 22-23: Gun and Shells Found by Contractors Working on House

The following information was supplied by the San Mateo Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

June 22:

12:59 a.m. - Woman fell asleep in her vehicle with her foot on the brake.

9:18 a.m. - Black male in a parking lot near 1700 S. El Camino Real was saying inappropriate things to females walking by.

11:26 a.m. - Disturbance - Police were called in to mediate a dispute between two neighbors in the 600 block of N. Claremont Street.

2:49 p.m. - Firearms - Contractors working on a home in the 1200 block of Terminal Place found a gun and shells and called the police. Authorities came in a took possession of the gun and cleared the scene.

3:48 p.m. - Counterfeit - Occured at the Americano Deli Grill on E. Hillsdale Boulevard. A suspect passed some fake hundred-dollar bills. Reporting party said the suspect used a cell phone while there, so police may attempt to trace it.

11:02 p.m. - Break-In - An employee of Joy Sushi said he/she just witnessed someone break a window of the restaurant, and is still on the scene. Police responded.

 

June 23:

9:48 a.m. - Theft - Occured in the 200 block of S. San Mateo Drive. A party reported someone stole his/her eyeglasses.

2:53 p.m. - Counterfeit - Occured in the 3000 block of S. El Camino Real. Suspect was trying to use counterfeit bills.

3:03 p.m. - Shoplifter - Police were called to the Hillsdale Mall, security personnel had a shoplifter in custody that was "being uncooperative." Police responded to the scene.

9:11 p.m. - Domestic Disturbance - Occured in the 200 block of N. San Mateo Drive. Woman reported her husband was "causing problems for her" and took money from her.

10:42 p.m. - Theft - Theft of a wallet in the 3000 block of El Camino Real.
