The county is reporting a 5.4 percent positivity rate, though Rogers noted that San Mateo County residents are testing at one of the higher rates in California. The state reported 584 tests per day per 100,000 residents last week.

Rogers encouraged immunocompromised residents or those at-risk for severe disease to consider precautions to protect against COVID-19, including wearing an N95 mask indoors and having a plan for rapid testing.
