San Mateo County Columbus Day Celebration Set for October
The Annual Columbus Day Italian American Heritage Celebration will be held October 8.

SAN MATEO, CA - This year’s annual Columbus Day Italian American Heritage Celebration in San Mateo County will take place at the Peninsula Italian American Social Club (PIASC) on Saturday, October 8, 2016 starting at 6:00 pm. Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus will be present during this traditional dinner dance.
This year’s Queen will be portrayed by Helen Fisicaro. Helen is a resident of Colma. She is being recognized in our community for the outstanding volunteer work she has performed for many San Mateo County community charities and civic organizations (enclosed is her resume).

All the net proceeds from this year’s celebration will be equally donated to the Peninsula Social Club Scholarship Foundation and Mission Hospice & Home Care. Both of these charities are qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
Our annual Italian American Heritage Celebration also includes a Bocce Ball Tournament on October 1, 2016 at Red Morton Park in Redwood City.

Our San Mateo County Queen Isabella will be riding in a vintage convertible car in the Columbus Day Parade in San Francisco on October 9, 2016.
If you wish to attend the dinner dance, the cost is $60.00 per person. A donation of any kind for these worthy charities and/or your attendance would be greatly appreciated.
