The San Mateo County Fair To Return June 3-11

The award-winning fair features pig races, live music and a carnival midway with tons of rides, mouth-watering fair foods and much more.

SAN MATEO, CA — The San Mateo County Fair, featuring carnival fun, delicious treats, live concerts and more, returns to San Mateo June 3 to 11.

Along with traditional favorites of pig races, carnival rides and live concerts, the San Mateo County Fair is adding The Lost World of Dragons, an exhibit highlighting everything dragon-related, fair organizers said.

Special events at the 2023 San Mateo County Fair include the Domini Hoskins Black History Museum, Family Pride Day, Senior Day, Farmworker Heroes Appreciation and Pacific Islands Day. Other special events include Honoring Our Veterans, Dia de la Feria, and the chance to meet characters from PJ Masks and Dino Ranch.

For live music aficionados can look no further than the San Mateo County Fair for top-notch live performances at the Safeway Concert Series, by Foghat; Remember When Rock Was Young, an Elton John Tribute; Fleetwood Mask, a Fleetwood Mac Tribute; Abel Sanchez; Smash Mouth; 3 Plus; Grupo Bryndis and more.

Free kids activities, Bulter Amusements featuring the Americana Carousel, Bumper Cars, Ex-Scream Machine Coaster and the Giant Wheel along with delicious food offerings from more than a dozen concession stands scattered throughout the fairgrounds, it’s no wonder the San Mateo County Fair is the Peninsula’s premier community event for family fun and entertainment.
