San Mateo County Leaders To Hold Environmental Justice Panel
San Mateo County's Office of Sustainability will host a virtual panel discussion on environmental justice on Thursday at 6 p.m.
SAN MATEO, CA —San Mateo County's Office of Sustainability will host a virtual panel discussion on environmental justice on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The discussion will feature five community leaders: Ortensia Lopez, executive director of El Concilio of San Mateo County; Omowale Satterwhite, president of Leadership Incorporated; Hector Camacho, president of the San Mateo County Board of Education; Ofelia Bello, executive director of Youth United for Community Action; and Tiffany 'Uhilamoelangi Hautau, executive director of Anamatangi Polynesian Voices.
Panelists will discuss their work, other local environmental justice work and areas for change when it comes to social, racial and environmental justice.
