San Mateo Deputy Police Chief Leaving to Work for County

Callagy will become a deputy county manager.

San Mateo Deputy Police Chief Mike Callagy is leaving the force after nearly 30 years to become a deputy county manager focused on criminal justice issues, according to an article in the San Mateo Daily Journal.

Callagy will be working on issues like state prisoner realignment. He retires from San Mateo Nov. 11 after 29-and-a-half years and begins with the county Nov. 11.
