San Mateo Gang Member Sentenced To 15 Years In Murder Case
Nathan Eric Rodriguez pleaded no contest to manslaughter in the Mar. 27 incident involving another gang.
SAN MATEO, CA — A Norteno gang member was sentenced to 15 years in state prison after pleading no contest to manslaughter.
Nathan Eric Rodriguez apologized to the victim’s family during his sentencing hearing this week, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office. He must also pay $29,600 in restitution to the victim’s family.
Rodriguez was accused of shooting Gilberto Gonzalez, a member of the Sureno gang, on Mar. 27 on Rogell Avenue over his car being vandalized. Another Sureno gang member was shot in the leg and was released from the hospital two days later.

Rodriguez’s wife, Karla Rodriguez, was charged with accessory to murder. Her preliminary hearing is set for June 1.
