San Mateo On Ice Returns This Month, Featuring Several Free Days

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo on Ice, the largest seasonal outdoor skating rink in the Bay Area, returns Nov. 13 for the 2021-22 season.

The rink at San Mateo’s Central Park will be open through Jan. 9 and features 11,000 square feet of real ice.

The rink is open for all ages for daily recreational ice skating, and there will also be four “Community Skate Days” where skating and skate rentals are free: Nov. 16, Dec. 1, Dec. 7 and Dec. 15.

San Mateo’s annual Winter Wonderland will also be held at the rink on Dec. 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $17 for standard pricing and $20 for certain premium dates.
