A 27-year-old man told police that someone shot at him around 8 p.m. Monday. A collision was also reported.

SAN MATEO, CA — A shooting in San Mateo on the 2600 block of Flores Street on Monday was targeted, according to the San Mateo Police Department.

A 27-year-old man told police that someone shot at him around 8 p.m. A collision was also reported. Police determined that the shooting "was not a random act," according to a news release.

Police did not specify whether there were injuries. The shooting took place near El Camino Real.
