Shelter In Place Lifted In San Mateo
The road has been reopened and police are clearing the area after determining there was no suspicious activity.
SAN MATEO, CA — The San Mateo Police Department lifted a shelter in place for the unit block of N. Ellsworth Avenue and reopened the road at 1:33 p.m. on April 2, according to a SMPD press release.
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on N. Ellsworth Avenue they believed was related to an ongoing investigation but upon arrival found it was not relevant, police said.
The SMPD requested a shelter in place for the unit block of N. Ellsworth Avenue and blocked the road at around 1 p.m., but it is unclear at this time why they issued the request, according to an SMPD press release.
