We are the only organization that delivers essential services and personalized support to connect the people living in poverty among us to the full range of resources and services they need. More than just ensuring our clients are fed, clothed, healthy, and housed, we help them create their own stability and remain an active, successful part of the community. Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. Ellsworth Avenue and reopened the road at 1:33 p.m. on April 2, according to a SMPD press release.Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on N. Ellsworth Avenue they believed was related to an ongoing investigation but upon arrival found it was not relevant, police said. The SMPD requested a shelter in place for the unit block of N. Ellsworth Avenue and blocked the road at around 1 p.m., but it is unclear at this time why they issued the request, according to an SMPD press release.
