Spate Of San Mateo Attempted Burglaries Probed

SAN MATEO, CA — Police have issued a community alert after a spate of attempted residential burglaries in San Mateo were reported last week.

Would-be burglars early Thursday morning attempted to burglarize four residences and vehicles at the 400 block of Sylvan Avenue, and the suspects remain at large, the San Mateo Police Department said.

The attempted burglaries are under investigation, according to police.
