Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. The NBA star and his celebrity cookbook author wife paid $2.4 million for the 528 Buena Vista Ave. property in unincorporated Redwood City in February 2021, according to the report.
