Two Arrested In Connection With San Mateo 'Execution-Style' Homicide

The October 2020 shooting at a San Mateo home left a man dead and his 2-year-old son shot in the face.

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo police arrested two homicide suspects in connection with a deadly shooting in October 2020 at a residence that left a man dead and injured his 2-year-old son.

Jon Paasi, 29, and Isileli Mahe, 30, were both arrested and charged with homicide Monday, according to the San Mateo Police Department.

Police described the Oct. 30, 2020 incident that killed Ueta Savalio Musaika Jr. as a “premeditated execution-style shooting.” Officers found Musaika suffering from several gunshot wounds in the driveway of his home on the 1600 block of Eleanor Drive around 9:40 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Musaika’s son was also shot in the face, but he has since recovered.

Paasi, listed by police as having residences in both San Mateo and Charlotte, was arrested in Charlotte on Monday. Mahe, who police said lives in both Oakland and Honolulu, was also arrested Monday in Honolulu.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
