$12K In Equipment Stolen From Beloved Bay Area Speaker Store

The store is hosting a fundraiser to try a recoup the cost of the stolen equipment.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A store in San Rafael that creates loudspeakers had over $12,000 worth of equipment stolen from their warehouse on Oct. 19, according to the owners.

For over seven years, Neptune Audio has provided sound systems to audio enthusiasts in Marin County.

Earlier this year, they expanded into a warehouse in San Rafael to bring their product to the greater Bay Area.

But on the night of Oct. 19, someone broke into their production trailer and stole over $12,000 worth of equipment, including custom cables and transport cases, the owner Christianna Kohler said.

They have started a GoFundMe in order to remake all the cables and restock the lost equipment.
