3 Arrested In Marin Stabbing
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
NOVATO, CA — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a stabbing at Vintage Oaks Shopping Center last week, Novato police said.
A 16-year-old was arrested Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder, and two additional suspects – Jamie Hernandez, 45, and 20-year-old Frederick Hernandez (both of Novato) – were arrested Wednesday, police said.
Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of aiding a felony and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Frederick on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.

Both were subsequently booked into Marin County Jail, according to police.

Officers at around 7 p.m. Saturday responded to the Novato Community Hospital on the report of the stabbing, police said.
The officers determined a confrontation involving the victim precipitated the 16-year-old stabbing him, police said.
“We would like to thank the Novato Fire Protection District for a quick response in providing medical aid to the victim,” the NPD said in a news release.
“As this was an isolated incident, there is no threat to the community regarding this case. It is important to always be aware of your surroundings when out in the community, especially in the evening hours.”
