Marin Gang-Related Shooting Probed: Cops
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

NOVATO, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help locating three suspects in connection with a Novato shooting that left a victim hospitalized.
The shooting, believed to be gang-related, was reported at around 9:15 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of America’s Best Value Inn at 7600 Redwood Blvd., police said.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The three suspects – two male and one female – are believed to be between the ages of 17 and 20, police said.
One of the male suspects was wearing a dark-colored jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, and the other a dark-colored sweatshirt with a white logo.

The female suspect, who police said drove the getaway car, was wearing a white sweatshirt.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark blue, newer model sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra or Nissan Altima, police said.
The shooting followed an argument that led to a physical confrontation between the victim and one of the male suspects, the victim told police.
The other male suspect subsequently opened fire on the victim, police said.
A person walking near the hotel and engaged in a similar verbal encounter with one of the male suspects before the shooting, police said.
“Further investigation suggests that these incidents appear gang related,” police said.
