Starting today, Wednesday, September 11, WildCare begins the final stage of its temporary (2-year) relocation to their Transition site while their new facility is being constructed at 76 Albert Park Lane in San Rafael.

While they move, WildCare will be redirecting Wildlife Hospital patients to their partner organizations in the region. The Living with Wildlife Hotline (415-456-7283) will provide species-specific information about where the public should bring wildlife patients that need care.

WildCare's move to the temporary location is happening from Wednesday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 29, 2024.

The Wildlife Hospital will not be accepting wildlife patients at their San Rafael location during this time period. IF YOU FIND AN INJURED OR ORPHANED WILD ANIMAL, PLEASE CALL WILDCARE'S HOTLINE AT 415-456-7283 for information and species-specific instructions.

WildCare is incredibly grateful to their partner organizations for admitting and caring for their wildlife patients over this period while the Wildlife Hospital transitions out of the building it has occupied since 1974. The organization will reopen for wildlife patient intake at their Transition location (address to be released once they have completed the move) on Monday, September 30.

This is an exciting time for WildCare! The organization's Education Programs are already situated at Transition, and that temporary facility will be open to the public to visit WildCare's beloved Wildlife Ambassador animals like Vladimir the Turkey Vulture and pelicans Marshall and Baja. Visit discoverwildcare.org/transition for additional details on WildCare Transition and planned visitor opportunities (starting this fall).

WildCare also continues fundraising for the $24M Elevate WildCare Capital Campaign to build the new facility at the existing Albert Park Lane site. Learn about the Elevate WildCare Campaign at discoverwildcare.org/elevate.
