“Anyone can dramatically improve their health,” says Dr. Shiroko. “It comes down to three things: finding the right answers, a good lifestyle and a good attitude.”
It’s a special time of year for the Osher Marin JCC. On Sept. 30, the JCC will be hosting a Sukkot Harvest Festival in honor of “Sukkot.” Sukkot is a seven-day Jewish holiday, and its significance is two fold. Historically, it honors a 40-year period when Israeli children were said to wander the desert, living in “sukkots,” temporary “booths.” Agriculturally, Sukkot is a celebrated harvest festival.

The mission of the Osher Marin JCC is to celebrate, strengthen and sustain Jewish life and culture, to build cross-cultural understanding, and to enrich the lives of those in the community at large. The Sukkot Festival couldn’t be more in alignment with those goals. The day-long event starts from 10am with a Zumba Party and ends at 2:30 p.m. with arts and crafts.
