MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin County has an opening on its Human Rights Commission

The application deadline has been extended to May 27.

The opening will represent District 4, which is for Homestead Valley, Corte Madera, Larkspur, Greenbrae, San Quentin Village, eastern San Rafael, western Novato and West Marin (San Geronimo Valley and the Panoramic Highway area from Muir Beach to Dillon Beach).

The commission exists to promote a community based on social justice with equality for all, and to eliminate discrimination based on race, religion, color, age, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, place of birth, national origin, or disability.

The commission provides a public forum, serves as a resource to the community, and advises the Board of Supervisors on human rights issues.
