Fire Causes $150,000 In Damage To San Rafael Home
One person evacuated from the single-family home in San Rafael.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — A fire caused about $150,000 of damage to a single-family home in San Rafael Wednesday night, fire officials said.
Firefighters got the call at 9:38 p.m. about a fire on Fifth Avenue, Battalion Chief Matt Windrem said. Crews arrived in about six minutes and found a pretty substantial blaze in the carport.
Crews called for a second alarm and had the fire contained by 10:15 p.m., Windrem said. One occupant evacuated herself and was uninjured.

No one else suffered any injuries.
The living space as well as the carport sustained fire damage. The cause is under investigation but it's not suspicious, Windrem said.
