Incarcerated Man Accused Of Parking Lot Shooting In February

A 33-year-old man who is currently in jail was accused of a shooting that occurred in San Rafael in February, according to police.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A 33-year-old man who is currently in jail was accused of a shooting that occurred in San Rafael in February, according to police.

Haadi Bolourchi was in custody at Marin County Jail when he was identified as a suspect in the shooting, which took place on Feb. 27 in a parking lot at B Street and First Street, investigators said Monday.

Multiple shots were fired at a group of people, striking the hand of one of them. The victim was treated at a hospital that night, according to police.

A search of the area by San Rafael officers revealed no suspects. However, after reviewing surveillance footage, Bolourchi was identified as the suspected shooter. Police accused him of hiding near the corner of a fence before opening fire on the group.

Police are still investigating any possible connection Bolourchi had to the victims and what motivated the shooting.

He was arrested at the jail on Friday after police learned he was being held there on unrelated charges.

Bolourchi was being held without bail on Monday after his bail was modified to reflect the new arrest. He was previously being held for allegedly violating his probation on a separate gun-related conviction in 2019 and for violating a court order.
