Jacob Rabb K’s 6 As Novato High Blanks Hayward

NOVATO, CA — Jacob Rabb pitched six innings of two-out ball and drove in two runs as Novato High beat Hayward 5-0 in a nonleague game Saturday.

Rabb (5-1) struck out six and walked three. He combined with sophomore Dari Liuzzi on a two-hit shutout.

Liuzzi struck out all three batters he faced pitching a scoreless inning in the top of the seventh in a non-save situation.

Evan Black had two hits including a double, Will Carlson had two hits, and Andy Gates had one hit and three RBI to lead Novato (11-5) offensively.

Rabb had two sacrifice flies.

The Hornets are scheduled to play host to Marin Catholic Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the first of two games between the two Marin County Athletic games scheduled for this week.

The two teams meet again Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Marin Catholic.
