Local Measures Head To Marin's November Ballots

Voters living in several areas of Marin County will have the chance to vote on a few local measures this November. Here's what to expect.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Registered voters in several towns and cities across Marin County will have the opportunity to determine the fate of ballot measures related to school, municipal and district needs.

The county on Tuesday shared a list of the local measures that will be up for a vote on Nov. 5, including proposed limits on certain rent increases, taxes and bonds to support school improvements, and levies to fund fire and emergency services.

Here is where voters will see local measures on their November ballots:

  • Petaluma Joint Union High School District bonds for facility improvement projects (Measure AA)
  • Tamalpais Union High School District bonds for facility improvements (Measure B)
  • Bolinas-Stinson Union School District special tax for educational programs (Measure C)
  • Kentfield School District bonds for facility improvements (Measure E)
  • Sausalito Marin City School District special tax for educational programs (Measure G)
  • Change the office of Town Clerk in the Town of Fairfax from elected to appointed (Measure H)
  • Town of Fairfax initiative to repeal and replace current Just Cause Eviction and Rent Stabilization Ordinances (Measure I)
  • Town of Fairfax bonds to finance improvements to municipal infrastructure (Measure J)
  • Initiative to limit rent increases for and evictions of tenants of some rental units in the City of Larkspur (Measure K)
  • Transactions and use tax in the City of Mill Valley to establish a dependable source of local funding for crucial city services and facilities (Measure L)
  • Transactions and use tax in the City of Novato with proceeds used for general revenue purposes (Measure M)
  • Ordinance No. 2024-1185 establishing rent stabilization regulations in the Town of San Anselmo (Measure N)
  • Just cause eviction and tenant protection ordinance in the Town of San Anselmo (Measure O)
  • Special parcel tax initiative in the City of San Rafael to fund construction of a new Albert Park main library and community center (Measure P)
  • Stinson Beach Fire Protection District increasing appropriations limit (Measure Q) and levying a special tax for fire and emergency services (Measure R)

Voters can learn more about each measure and how to file arguments for and against them on the Registrar of Voters website. Sample ballots are due to be mailed to registered voters during the final week of September, and official ballots will start hitting mailboxes after Oct. 7.
