Baade expressed her opposition to vaccines publicly in a Marin Independent Journal interview last week.

“We’re interested as a community in creating a safe environment for our children to grow and to learn without being subjected to abusive practices that are being enforced by the state,” Baade told the news outlet.

“At this point the word vaccine is being used as a marketing tool to put what is clearly poison inside people’s bodies.”

Baade doesn’t mention her opposition to vaccines in a statement on her campaign website, but expresses skepticism about the role of government.

“I would begin the separation from the federal government $$$ with education reform. State mandates in curriculum come at a cost that has hurt our children’s capacity to learn (and to love learning). It is clear, we generate enough revenue to hold our own and create much better curriculum choices on a regional basis. Education is just one area where it is possible to let go of the ties to the top-down way of controlling our regional state policy through funding from the federal government,” Baade said.

“As the Governor, I will also limit the over-reach of state governmental administrative policy and law imposed on local county and townships. We must empower local regions, while at the same time working as an intelligent system to bring about a better quality of life for everyone.”
