Marin Blaze Damages Home (Updated)
Fire crews earlier today contained the blaze in the San Felipe area of West Novato to one structure, the Novato Fire District said.
NOVATO, CA — Novato Fire District crews with assistance from other agencies contained a structure fire earlier today in the San Felipe area of West Novato, the agency said.
The Wednesday morning blaze at 261 San Felipe Way damaged the home, shown in photos NFD crews tweeted earlier this afternoon.
A resident suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization, Novato fire Battalion Chief Jeff Whittet said.

Novato police officers and San Rafael firefighters helped Novato fire crews contain the blaze, the NFD said.
The blaze was first reported at around 7:45 a.m., Whittet said.

Fire crews knocked down the blaze within 20 minutes of their arrival on the scene, Whittet said.
The blaze was declared contained a few hours later.
